General Information / Ground Rules
YOU CAN MAIL MORE THAN ONE ENTRY FORM IN AT THE TIME AS WELL AS MAKE OUT ONE CHECK FOR ALL DUES, FEES OR ENTRY FORMS MAILED IN.
WILL NOT ACCEPT ENTRY FORMS WITHOUT PAYMENT!!
YOU WILL RECEIVE ALL OTHER FORMS, BACK #’S, RULE BOOK, DECALS, ETC. AT CHECK-IN OF YOUR FIRST RODEO
1. All regional rodeo’s are treated as TWO RODEO’S. Contestant has option of competing ONE or BOTH DAYS. Must compete in both for average award.
2. POINTS: Are paid per rodeo as following
1st place.......................... 10 Points
2nd place......................... 9 points
3rd place.......................... 8 points
4th place.......................... 7 points
5th place.......................... 6 points
6th place.......................... 5 points
7th place.......................... 4 points
8th place.......................... 3 points
9th place.......................... 2 points
10th place........................ 1 point
STATE FINALS RODEO will be worth 10 points more than total points possible at regional total points. Total points will be 75% of possible regional points carried into State Finals. Distribution of points at State Finals will be decided by board.
ALL-AROUND POINTS to be awarded to top 6 places each rodeo, each event
entered. Must qualify in at least TWO EVENTS IN ONE PERFORMANCE to
receive credit in the all-around standings. Regional Rodeos – Option A, page 40.
JACKPOT PAYOFF each day of rodeo performance. Payoff up to six places, according to number of contestants per event.
BUCKLES to be awarded on the average of the 2 rodeo’s on Sunday.
Must enter both days to qualify for average. (TR - same partner)
3. ENTRY FEES for each regional, per rodeo per event is $30.00, divided as following, $10.00 jackpot, $10.00 AHSRA year-end awards general fund, and $10.00 producer/host committee. There is a $2.00 office charge & $5.00 liability insurance charge per rodeo added to “EACH” entry form. Total fees per event will include office charge,
Example 1 event, 2 days, = $67.00 per rodeo.
Optional – “Sidepot Jackpot” – you will have the option of entering asidepot jackpot each day of each rodeo. This will be listed on your entry form – cost will be $10.00 each day per event – payoff will be according to entries. This is separate from the usual entry fee jackpot! - OPTIONAL
Both TR partners must enter to be a team in sidepot.
4. CUTTING EVENT/WORKING COW HORSE: Total of 3 cutting regional’s – will not count for all-around pts. You must compete in at least one regional in order to participate at the State Finals. Fill out form and mail with membership.
5. ENTRY FORMS must be signed by parent/guardian, contestant. Must have contestant approval form on file. Forms are usually due in to rodeo secretary
approximately 3/4 weeks prior to rodeo. Each entry form has a different due
date listed at top of form. Secretary has right to refuse form if post mark is
after due date. FEES MUST BE PAID WHEN MAILING IN FORM. NO REFUNDS AFTER THIS DATE. There will be a $25.00 charge for any
returned checks or late fees. You will not be allowed to rodeo until all fees are paid.
6. CONTESTANT MEETINGS mandatory meeting 30 minutes before first rodeo (9:30am)
(CROSSETT – 10:00 am). Check-in prior to meeting unless notified on entry form at a later date. Following rodeo’s you must check-in prior to books closing 30 minutes before starting rodeo time. If you fail to check-in prior to closing time - you will be considered as a NO-SHOW, unless you have a doctor’s/vet release, can prove legitimate emergency reason for being late. You will sign in for check-in at each rodeo on Saturday. If you sign-in someone else that will be late and they do not show-up, neither contestant will be allowed to rodeo at the next rodeo.
7. AHSRA GROUND RULES: Pole Pattern is broken when stirrup goes past pole.
Barrel racers/pole benders - run must continue from point of broken pattern - no
starting over. Calf roping/breakaway - only one loop permitted. Team roping
2 loops only. All timed events - 30 second time limit. If you are entered in more than one event at a rodeo and do not compete in one event but are still entered in another event, you can not compete in that event without doctor/vet release for that event.
8. TIMED EVENTS when the electric eye fails to work for one or more contestants during a performance, the manual backup time will be used for those electronically missed. The electric eye controlled times will remain unaltered.
9. BACK #’S: Each contestant will be issued (2) back #’s for the year, each will
have the same # on it. You will be responsible to have your number at each rodeo at check-in and in dress code. You will pick up back #’s, membership
cards, and any other items at your first rodeo you attend. These will not be
mailed to you. There will be a $2.00 laminating fee at check-in at first rodeo.
10. DRESS CODE Pull over shirts of any kind are not allowable dress. This
includes no 3 button pullovers. In case of inclimate weather, you can wear
pullover sweater, over long sleeve button-up collared shirt. If wearing coat
during performance - back number must be pinned to back of coat - VISIBLE.
Hat Long Sleeve Shirt, Boots, Jeans and BACK#.
11. INSURANCE CLAIMS: If you are injured at our rodeo and taken to the hospital
or doctor, you need your NHSRA MEMBERSHIP CARD with you for proof of
insurance. Afterwards, the secretary will sign (1) insurance form for you to send
to insurance company for proof of injury at that rodeo.
CALENDAR FUND RAISER: all contestants are required to purchase at least
(4) calendars @ $10.00 each, this was included in your membership fees. Calendars will be distributed at first rodeo/meeting. Proceeds will go to scholarship fund and travel fund. You can then sell these to your family or friends to get your money back.
13. COWBOY PROM: this is usually held in the spring. More information on this at a later date.
14. QUEENS CONTEST: Anyone interested in running this event needs to turn in name to Anita for further information of rodeos holding pageants and contact of Queen Coordinator. Wrenetta Carr – 870-723-3284 or jetntoby@yahoo.com .
15. AHSRA JACKETS, Cinch or Cruel Girl Team Shirts & T-Shirts: Forms will be available for ordering. Shirts must have payment in advance.
16. TEAM ROPERS: Anyone interested in roping but does not have a partner, contact Anita to be put on an availability list. You are allowed to enter & draw a partner 4 times during the year if you do not have a partner. One rodeo is considered 2 draws, Sat/Sun. Secretary will draw for you prior to rodeo. ENTER ROPING ONE TIME PER DAY. Points are accumulated individually through- out the year then declare partner for State Finals.
17. RAFFLE TICKET FUNDRAISER: All contestants required to sell $150.00 in tickets. Will be distributed at first rodeo and will be due at last “Fall” rodeo.
18. ACT Test – you are allowed 1 excused rodeo with copy of proof of ACT ticket in order to get two goes in one day with ticket attached to that enter form.
CINCH ALL STAR TEAM ELIGIBILITY
“All previous members “MUST” have membership fees paid & mailed in by Sept. 1st to be eligible for the All Star Team process.”
